Mohamed Saleh Khalil completed his master's degree in 1988 from the Academy of Fine Arts in Dresden, Germany. Through his artistic experiences there, he developed his own artistic style and held several solo and group exhibitions. Following the signing of the Oslo Agreement in 1994, Khalil decided it was time to return to his homeland, Palestine. Since then, he has participated in numerous art exhibitions both inside and outside Palestine and has won many awards, with his most prestigious being the Jury Award at the Alexandria Biennale in 2000. In 2002, he, along with several artists, founded the "Visual Arts Forum" (formerly the Young Artists Forum) aimed at teaching fine arts, attracting and nurturing amateurs, and promoting visual arts as a means to enhance Palestinian identity and a medium for expression, change, and free thought. Khalil still resides in Palestine and is currently a lecturer at the College of Arts, Music, and Design at Birzeit University, where he continues to teach art at the Visual Arts Forum.
