Watercolor and Ink Workshop Program

Introduction to artist Majd Al-Masri, basics of watercolor painting, tools and supplies, and material presentation.
1.1: Introduction to Watercolor Art
Familiarization with the essential tools used in watercolor painting.
Creating a notebook to understand watercolor materials and tools.
1.2: Color Theory and Blending
Understanding color theory and basic contrasts.
Exploring techniques such as washes, wet-on-wet, and dry brush.
Session Two:
Immersion in color techniques and blending.
2.1: Shadow and Form
Exercises to identify shadow and form using an unconventional color palette.
2.2: Miniature Drawing and Composition
Analyzing compositions of landscapes.
Experimenting with limited color palettes.
Session Three:
Planning compositions and direct painting techniques.
3.1: Outdoor Scene Drawing
Planning compositions using miniature sketches.
Discussing the importance of values and contrast.
Session Four:
Exploring depth and perspective.
4.1: Depth and Perspective
Introducing the concept of one-point and two-point perspective.
Using atmospheric perspective to create distance.
4.2: Natural Elements
Painting natural elements using various coloring techniques.

Adding texture and details.

Experimenting with brush movements for leaves and water.
Adding fine details using techniques like resist fluid.
Session Six:
Final project and evaluation.
