Description: This is the first course in an academic program that includes 6 academic courses.

Days: Evening classes from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM
Course Duration: Four months, from 7/1/2026 to7/9/2025 – (64 training hours)
Who Can Enroll in Academic Courses?
This course is open to anyone talented or interested in learning drawing and artistic production, with a passion for exploring drawing techniques and color concepts from A to Z, whether they are youths, adults, or seniors. New doors will open for you into the world of visual art and fine artists, as the forum provides an interactive educational, social, and cultural space where you can express your thoughts, feelings, and reflections through artistic productions taught by experienced instructors specialized in education and art production. For youths and adults, this is a chance to enjoy a beneficial experience within a social and cultural context where they can learn and develop techniques and concepts in visual arts. For parents, it’s an opportunity to discover and nurture their children's talents in a safe social space that fosters creativity and respects each child's individuality, both educationally and personally, which can influence their future academic and career choices. Many forum graduates have pursued distinguished careers in various fields, including fine arts, animation, film, video art, graphic design, engineering, dentistry, administration, and more. Most importantly, they are active individuals who work in areas they love, excel in them, and possess strong social skills in their social, professional, and family contexts.
The School of Visual Arts offers 6 academic courses in the academic track, with each course representing a semester of four months during which students meet twice a week for two hours each session, totaling 64 hours of learning per semester. During this time, students learn all the techniques and concepts needed to produce still life scenes, urban scenes, portraits, nature scenes, and more, using various media, including pencils, charcoal, ink, oil, acrylics, mixed media, collage, and others. They will acquire diverse techniques in using colors concerning shadow, light, perspective, realism, abstraction, and more.
Course Program:
Training hands on how to hold a pencil and draw straight and curved lines smoothly.
Understanding the elements of an artwork and applying them, including point, line, balance, mass, textures, and materials.
Learning about the composition of a painting and its relationship to space, volume, and the golden ratio.
Understanding principles of perspective in relation to proportions and elements in the painting.
Learning and applying theories of light and shadow and how they fall on shapes and their varying reflections.
Drawing still life scenes containing different materials such as fabric, wood, stone, and clay.
Drawing urban scenes that include various elements such as buildings, houses, streets, and columns.
Using the following media: pencils, charcoal, colored pencils.
Exploring the beginnings of art history and realism.
Learning about several Palestinian and international artists and their styles in drawing and production in line with the course program.
Opportunities:

Required Materials:
Canson A4 sketchbook
Pencils, a pack of charcoal, and a pack of colored pencils.
Tuition Fees:
1,400 shekels for four months.

Those wishing to enroll in the course must fill out the application and pay the full amount to secure a spot, allowing for an accurate count of registered participants.
